Howdy, guys. This Dragon*Con, I didn't make it out to many panels since I was trying to coordinate with more people than usual (brought my brothers along, and didn't want to just turn them *too* loose since it can be a bit overwhelming at first) and I was also trying to spend more time in the board gaming room (mission accomplished, check later in the Gaming forum)...

But I did make it to Brandon Sanderson's reading. He read a new chapter from A Memory of Light, which happened to be Mat's first PoV chapter of the book.

And, now that I go to look it up, since it was mentioned that Tor would post the chapter, I see that Tor has already done a quite thorough summary of the whole panel, which includes a link to the chapter.

Just finished reading the teaser. I can not wait, sadly I stupidly schedualed a vacation when it comes out, so I have to wait. It will be torture.

Are you vacationing on a desert island? Bookstores, man! The physical ones don't require a shipping address!

Self preservation man. I am an addict, once I start reading a book I have a vey hard time putting it down. When it will be released I will just be leaving for a week+ at Disney world (which I am very very much looking forward too). If I have the book in my posessesion, or access, I will have to read it (or my wife may kill me). So I have to tough it out, maybe download it to the kindle as we are leaving for some airport reading.

On a tanget, I also can not wait for disney world, 8 days, 7 nights, all the dinner reservations made, everything is payed for, now 140 ish days to freaking wait. :suicide:

The book won't be available on ebook for several months after the release date because the publishers/McDougal want to make sure that as many people as possible pirate it before they make it available. At least that is the only reasoning I can come up with.

It doesn't impact me too much, as I'll be buying a physical copy anyway, as I have all the others in the series and want to complete the set. But if it were any other book, I'd be very pissed off.
