Since it's revived, I'll throw in that this season of Leverage has been fantastic so far.

They're really growing each of the characters without changing them so much that it ruins the dynamic.

Yup.

But they filmed the season finale as if it might be the series finale, so I'm much less outraged. At least this show got the benefit of the doubt long enough to know it was on shaky ground and plan contingently. That's way more than the Fireflies of the world get, and I'm hoping this week's show will end with good closure.

Still, a series finale of your best show is the worst Christmas gift ever, TNT.

Considering the ending to this season's Burn Notice, I wish it had been cancelled too.

Yeah, that ending would have been better if Bly had gotten the info back to HQ to take the CIA ***** down.

I quit watching Burn Notice last season I think. I don't know why, I just didn't like watching it anymore. Which was strange because it was one of my favorite shows.

Probably because of similar circumstances to mine. You liked the show when it was more MacGyver-ish and all about "When you're a spy...." and then it moved away from that.

At least they can go out more or less on top. Better than to limp along pointlessly for another decade *cough Simpsons cough*

The MacGuyver part has been rather consistent throughout all seasons.

The problem seems to be the writers didn't have a clear vision of how to resolve Michael's burn notice. Anson was an excellent villain but they wouldn't end it with him. Instead they added fluff by pulling in Doctor Cox which then required a retarded fight with Agent Riley that

Spoiler:
necessitated her being corrupt 1) to resolve Michael's fugitive status and 2) to make it not look like a complete repeat of Agent Pearce.

This last season really deviated from the Chaotic-Good Michael that took care of Miami's crime while still making progress on his burn. Instead, the "team" loses direction. Michael's moral compass becomes more loose, Sam becomes the boy scout to keep him from going beyond the brink, and Jesse becomes almost useless.

And now for some reason we're going to start a new season when the plot has been resolved. Well, everything except for the bullcrap that was the last two minutes.

Damn... I didn't realize Leverage was over so soon! I was expecting a longer season.

Planning on watching the Series Finale tonight- it's supposed to be very, very good.

It was indeed pretty good. It's deceptive because of the way they split the seasons between winter/summer.

Yeah. The last few seasons have had the Fall-Christmas Episode-Spring split, and I was assuming this year would follow that trend.

Burn Notice I was never able to get into because I always believed it was a show that should have been on HBO or Showtime.

I'd always heard good things about It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia but never got around to watch it until now. I'm up to season 6, and I'd have to say it may be one of my top five favorite comedies, possibly top three.

I don't think I've seen many sitcoms where the main characters go to some pretty dark and controversial places (a couple of them purposefully get addicted to crack, so they can claim "recovering crack addict" and get on welfare). It's like Seinfeld in terms of the main characters being rather selfish and elitist, but darker and much better.*

Regardless of how crazy the main characters get or how much collateral damage they cause, the show maintains continuity. Something outrageous and unbelievable doesn't happen in one episode, and is magically fixed and/or forgotten in subsequent episodes.

I also like that the people write and produce the show also star in it, so there's no dilution of anything.

Best thing about it that truly makes it one of the better sitcoms? Three words: No. Laugh. Track.

Damn right. That's the way a TV series is supposed to end...absolutely perfect.
