Pretty good matinee no brainer movie. Not a film I'd recommend to a serious fan of film, but it is a pretty decent action/disaster flick. Rock is Rock, though he does get a few moments of decent acting chops in. The eye candy is amazingly beautiful, but not buying her as the Rock's daughter. Both of the lead females are good strong women active in their own rescues.

See Hoover Dam, Los Angeles, Bakersfield and San Francisco devastated by some of the better CGI disasters I've seen.

See, I don't like disaster movies. Never have. They were all the rage in the 70's. My mom loved them. SO I had to watch them.

I watched the trailer for this and in my head it became Lex Wins. Next stop, Otisburg.

I took my son to see this for his birthday Saturday. It was cheese all the way through...beautiful, funny, gooey cheese. :P We enjoyed it, but you have to turn your brain off for a couple of hours. :)
