I was OK with you not liking T3, but, sauerkraut? You don't like sauerkraut? That's just un-German-American. :)

He lives in the country of white bread buns with mustard and for an exciting time, add relish to them there wieners.

Pickled cabbage isn't for everyone guys, don't push it. More for the rest of us.

Of course the real treat is pork chops with applesauce, sauerkraut, some caroway seeds sprinkled over and dark rye toast on the side. Just the way Frau Berger, (my childhood friend Fred's mom) used to make it.

Methinks you're mixing your metaphorical stereotypes.

Really Vindi, have you ever tried to write Utah humor when you're falling asleep at the keyboard? Cut me some slack.

Least I didn't mention Rocky Mountain Oysters, 'kay.

I guess it's the convergence of hearing all the snide comments the, oh so cultured, San Franciscans tossed the way of those from anywhere not deemed "sophisticated" enough (being from Wisconsin, myself, and many folks I knew and cared about, bore the brunt of 15 or so years ago), and the over-used "let's type using colloquialisms of those ignorant bastards" - neither of which you intended, so you have my apologies.

As an attempt to re-rail, I've rarely understood the mindset that movies (in a series) are inferior simply because they deviate from "canon".

Just watched Terminator: Salvation last night. It took me about four hours to get through the two-hour film. This was due to my interest constantly being pulled away by pressing matters such as dinner, and stray thoughts about things I wanted to look up on Wikipedia.

It was not bad, I will say that. It just didn't quite hold my interest as much as I'd have liked. I enjoyed the aesthetics, and the action, but John Connor was a bore (that is to say, played by Christian Bale). Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin turned in good performances.

I actually blame the film's structural failings both directly and indirectly on Bale. The film's script was extensively re-written to incorporate more Bale after he was cast as John Connor, because he wanted the part to be bigger. The original script focused on Marcus Wright, making it much more his story, with Connor being a smaller supporting role. And the original (superior) ending was to have John Connor killed, but Marcus Wright allows the Resistance to graft Connor's skin onto his body, thereby keeping the Resistance's moral and allowing "John Connor" to carry on as their leader.

Ugggg. No thanks. I'll keep the original ending. That sounds like a horrible ending.

Really, I was fine with the ending for Salvation. I was pretty much fine with the entire movie actually. It was much less forgettable than T3 was. And believe it or not, I actually had the desire to watch it multiple times, which is something that I can not say about T3.

It sounded like an utterly terrible idea the first time I heard it. I've turned it over and over in my mind, and I've now come to believe it's not only a great ending, but the best one they could hope for.
