Once the initial disgust wears off what really bothers me about it is the logistics and how it wouldn't actually work. Seeing as he's a doctor, that should have been obvious to him.

if I could wash my mind with bleach after reading that wiki... I would.

I think that movie would be in danger of validating Uwe Boll as an artist.

See, this is why you can't be a screenwriter.

Yes. Its called "cognitive dissonance." You need it.

Then again, I've been a resident of the Internet for some 15 years now and I'm probably incapable of being shocked by anything anymore. I am equally unmovable in terms of being offended by most things, so if these things do not describe you it's probably best to err on the side of caution. You certainly don't gain anything, at least. :p

I suspect this falls under "too bizarre to be taken seriously at all" for me. *nodnod*
Yup, that's pretty much how I felt about it.

Man, after all of the people freaking out in this thread, I was expecting something WAY worse.

Honestly, I'm also kind of intrigued. Mainly because it's won a few film festival awards, and that apparently a dutch surgeon collaborated in the design so that it would actually be medically possible.
Spoiler:
Tom Six wanted the film to be 100% medically accurate and consulted a Dutch surgeon during the creation and filming process. The surgeon was initially reluctant to take part due to concerns about his professional reputation and feelings that the film had nothing to do with medical science. However, he became interested in the procedure after reading the script, and devised a surgical method that he believed would work in real life. The special effects team designed the final composition of the 'centipede' from sketches provided by the surgeon. Six claims that supplementing the diet of the middle and back parts with an IV drip would allow the centipede to survive for 'years'.

Hell, at least it has a point (even if it's just that insane doctors do things to prove they can be done). That's more than you can say for schlock like "hostel" or "Turistas".

Also, while researching this post, I found out the "Saw" series has now become the most profitable horror film franchise of all time.

Ok, I have no idea why he did this, but for some reason Daniel Tosh did a 25 MINUTE spoiler alert of this film (the entire film!).

So if you don't want to watch the actual film, but still want to hear about it in all it's glory (obviously so NSFW, and your sanity, etc), then here it is:
