Then she's freaking retarded. If it was [i]anyone's[i] fault that Carl shot zombie Shane, it was hers. What the heck was he doing out there in the first place? Is she incapable of keeping an eye on her own child.

Yes. Yes, she is. The little **** already got into enough trouble recently, but she's not watching him like a hawk? Whatever, lady. Rick, Lori and Carl are the least interesting of the characters on the show. The best part of the show for me is Carol and Darryl. Carl is a little ****, Rick is a weak leader outside of zombie situations, Lori I think still had feelings for Shane (making me pretty unsympathetic for her), Glenn might someday be cool, Hershel is alright, T is just a token black guy sadly, Andrea is a badass but a *****, and Shane was just an irrational dick. At this point I wished the show would have Carol and Darryl find a new group of supporting characters and have all the others fall off a cliff. I still love the show but it irks me because it would be so much better with characters I was sympathetic for. Anyone else agree?

Is it just me, or are these people just incredibly, unbelievably stupid in their zombie-fighting tactics? Ok, so you've got a bunch of slow-moving zombies who can't climb and will probably just wander on by eventually, but instead of holing up in the house or hanging out on the roof to pick them off at will, you....all run out to mix it up with the zombies in the dark? Or Rick and Carl - instead of going into the barn, climbing up the ladder and hanging out in the loft until the zombies wander off, you...set the barn on fire so your only option is to leap out onto the roof of the RV and mix it up with the zombies in the dark? And hell, you've been at this farm for weeks now and you haven't (a) built a perimeter trench and wall, (b) fortified the house, (c) laid in tons of supplies and weapons, and (c) figured out the need to post regular sentries and maybe some perimeter alarms? Seriously?

These people make such ridiculous choices that I almost can't watch anymore. They all deserve to die.

I don't know how you can have an 8+ hour long zombie movie anyway and make that work.

Yeah, and then we somehow ended up with cable and this just happens to be the one show I keep up with (albeit 2 or 3 episodes at a time via On Demand, but still ...).
For the most part, I don't come into this thread unless I *am* caught up, just to be on the safe side.

Re: Lori's reaction - I got the impression she was upset that Rick killed Shane but was going to swallow her feelings and move on, but hearing about Carl's involvement pretty much blew her emotional control out of the water. Pretty much in agreement on that family unit, though. They need to wake up some morning to find they've been abandoned by the rest of the survivors. Right now, I'm more interested in what's in store for Daryl and Andrea and possibly Glenn & Maggie.
