It was good but didn't have the punch of last years.

I like the current 'helpers' ... and chase is just really really hot.

Love the final... like I went from bad omgwtfbbq, to a good omgwtfbbq...

Thought it was good. Not as good as last year's zomg House is crazy, but good.

So I am trying to get into this show. I'm on episode 2 of season 1. I am on the fence.

Does every episode follow this formula?

1. Patient has some weird problem and we see the symptom of it.
2. Patient gets admitted to a protesting Dr. House.
3. Dr. House diagnoses the patient with something mild that is beneath his status and sends the patient on their way, only to notice something odd and realize his diagnosis was wrong -- he then insists on treating the patient.
4. Dr. House and team come up with a new diagnosis and treatment (while belittling his team), and this turns out to be wrong.
5. Dr. House notices something even more obscure, diagnosing something different and treating accordingly... only to find out this makes the situation worse and puts the patient in critical condition.
6. Dr. House makes his third and final Holmes-ian observation and this turns out to be source of the problem all along.
7. House saves the day and everyone rejoices.

If so, I may end up skipping this show. I like the idea of an ******* Sherlock Holmes, but not if the show is THAT formulaic. I couldn't get into Matlock and Columbo for those same reasons.

No, it's not always like that.

75% of the time, it's like that every time.

After giving it a couple more episodes, it's slowly beginning to grow on me despite the formula. I need something to occupy me while I feed my newborn, and this is working.

Though the episode with the sick newborns was a little rough to watch during that process.
