He is playing a type cast and using it for gain... kinda like how Steve Irwin is supposed to be Australian.

I can't 100% explain why such things bug me, but they've always had...

edit. I've thought about it. While Steve is playing himself in TV/movies, Jackie is building a life long personality which is not him. He's done and said a lot of pro-communist things and I think thats what bugs me the most... A puppet if you will.

Huh, just got back. I liked it more than the original, to be honest. Maybe it was just because seeing modern-day Beijing is more interesting to me than 1980s Southern California ... But, I dunno, I didn't think it was bad at all.
