That's good stuff right there. I used to love flipping that over the stall wall while people were rockin' one out at work.

So this teaser mostly preaches to the choir -- just confirming the players for comics fans, and hinting that the Defenders are going to be fighting against the Hand some more in the larger Chaste vs. Hand war, probably.

Which is fine with me. More Scott Glenn Stick, please.

I probably ordered these backwards, but I saw them this way. Oops.

It looks like they're playing Iron Fist's origin pretty straight. I've been kind of holding my breath to see what they do with the character, given the internet uproar over whitewashing with Tilda Swinton, and the whole cultural appropriation thing that's big to complain about lately.

The defenders teaser is rather sparse.

Most of the first teasers for the Marvel Netflix shows have been.

But perhaps this will satisfy more, since it's actually the next one they want you to focus on:

And then, this has a lot of recycled footage, but here's the "whole package" sizzle reel.

I like how neatly that one showcases that, even though the tone of each of the shows to date is very different in dominant artistic choices and narrative frameworks, there's a very tangible house style to them that unifies them when put side-by-side like that. That video could easily be different shots from the same movie, for instance. That house style is, in itself, very reminiscent of classic comics as well, which is very neat and rather fitting.

Whoops, lost track. One more new one. Incredibly sparse, though, as I'm sure it's probably at least 9 months out.

Super excited about Iron Fist. I just wonder if they are going to do the suit.

I figure, if they're going to do Dr. Strange's disco collar in live action, why not Iron Fist's? Go for it. Embrace the delicious 70's B-movie cheese.

Not to mention, shirtless or go home. All the SJW writing on the internet praising them for designing a male costume for the female gaze is free publicity you just can't buy.

Wait, when did females get a gaze? It's because we've laid off oppressing them fully for too long, isn't it?

I think it was probably around the time we started caring whether or not they enjoyed sex.

I forget. This is the monster thread for all things live action Marvel regardless of studio at this point, right?

Could be interesting. And it's from the creator of FX's Fargo series, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

And that's on top of Hellfire and one other, as-yet-unrevealed series at Fox, too. (And maybe something about a Generation X straight-to-TV movie that was being talked about last year?)

Okay, I had not been paying much attention to any of these trailers.

As soon as I heard BZA, I knew I had to see Luke Cage.

Wow, they absolutely nailed the tone on that trailer. Netflix+Marvel are crushing it.

Are we gonna separate out the Marvel Netflix series into their own thread eventually? The universe of just television is getting pretty big at this point.

Here's a tidbit from Charlie Cox at Wizard World Chicago:
“One thing that I thought was really cool is that in the second season [of ‘Daredevil’], we had a scene together and in the storyline we hadn’t seen each other for a long time and it takes place at the hospital,” said Cox. “Roasario had — Claire Temple has a cut in her eyebrow. So I was like, ‘What is that?’ Apparently it had nothing to do with our world but it’s part of ‘Luke Cage.’ The timeline had been thought through and worked out so that whatever’s going on in ‘Luke Cage,’ which we don’t know, I don’t know, somehow at some point during that show, the next day she’s in the hospital talking to me.”

So they definitely have the entire connected streaming universe day-to-day timeline worked out, it would seem.

With the crossover apparently happening in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this season (Punisher is rumored to be showing up at some point), the line will be further blurred.

I dunno what it is, I just can't get motivated to finish the second season of Daredevil. There's been nothing wrong with it so far (we're four episodes in), really; I just never seem to want to continue it.

I'm of two minds of intermingling like this.

I like the separate seasons of each show, so I don't have to watch episode 3 of daredevil, then 4 of luke cage, then SHIELD 4 and 5, then back to Cage 5, then Daredevil 4 and 5 and 6...

Its just confusing that way.

^ Yeah, that would get annoying, TBH. Hopefully, it's more along the lines of easter eggs for the observant audience, but nothing that detracts from viewers who haven't watched (or won't watch): other_show_X.

Generally, for the Netflix series I think each season is meant to be watched in its entirety. If something else is happening concurrently, you still don't watch them by the way you describe.

The same is not necessarily true of Agents of Shield. I believe it works best if you watch certain movies in between episodes.
