My wife is enamored of this show and begging me to watch it with her.

I watched the first episode. Holy ****, if these people weren't so obviously just actors I would think they were total morons.
Spoiler:
1st cause of death - hitting head against a glass aquarium that left glass shards embedded in the thick bone of the front of the skull. Yet, in the solution, the aquarium did not instantly shatter, but just spiderwebbed until shattering eventually.

Spoiler:
The second one she described to me, someone's pajamas were sprayed with an accelerant powerful enough to create a raging inferno, yet totally odorless. Let's totally forget that vapor is generally what makes flammable substances flammable.

I'm doomed by wifely begging.

In the first case, glass that spiderwebs is specially-made glass, someone could have fallen on a regular pane of glass from a poorly-made aquarium that shattered as you'd expect and create large shards.

In the second case, odorless does not mean without vapor.

Yes, exactly. In the first case, it spiderwebs, but also shatters.

In the second, I'm not really buying an odorless substance that ignites from static electricity from a quick spray-on to some flannel pjs.

Then of course there's the fact that after the first murder everyone is not hiding behind their bed with a machine gun.

Natural Gas is pretty odorless, we just add something to it so it stinks iirc

Never heard of Static Guard?

There was an up and coming actress who's career was ruined when she sprayed Static Guard onto some of her clothes while wearing them. The static sparked and ignited it and she went up like a torch, 3rd degree burns all over her face and body.
