I watch Naruto and Attack on Titan. I don't think either one of them meet your requirements but that's what I watch.

If you watch Titan prepare to be very depressed every episode.

Looking at whats on there, I can recommend the following

Sword Art Online
Valvrave
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (dont question this one, just watch it, it has very good story)
Attack on Titan
Dog Days (warning, very light and fluffy, but fun anyway)

Heard its good, but havent seen it yet

Majestic Prince
Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet

Avoid at all costs on pains of losing brain cells

Queen's Blade

Hey, That one doesn't make you lose brain cells. It just relocates cells to a different part of your body. Heyoooooo

Have you watched any anime before? If not, I'd suggest some well-deserved classics: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Cowboy Bebop.

I also really enjoyed Eden of the East and Deathnote. I saw Summer Wars recently and thought it was fun, too. It's not particularly cyberpunk, but the plot does revolve around a virtual world run amok.

Unfortunately, Bebop is currently out of print, so it might be difficult to find. However it was license rescued and will be back in print sometime in 2014

Geez, how did a show that popular go out of print? Insanity. Now I'm really glad I bought the box set with the soundtrack years ago.

Bandai, the company which had the rights, closed up their US business, and it was rescued by FUNimation, but they need to relabel it
