This movie terrifies me and I can't wait to see it in 3D on the biggest screen I can find. |

Yeah I just got back from seeing it on an IMAX screen in 3D. Really the only way to see this film. |

Huh...I have no desire what so ever to see this film. Please give me a reason why I should? There isn't a single thing in any of the previews that makes me want to see it. |

Well, it's apparently a really good rendition of space, if nothing else. Supposed to be very pretty, and good on a big screen in 3D. But, if you're not a Sandra Bullock (or George clooney) fan, then yeah, it's probably not worth seeing. I read yesterday that they're really the only two people in the movie. |

Spoiler: I enjoyed it. It was a well done story. The lens flares were distracting. Spoiler: |

This movie definitely looked the most HUGE of any film I've seen in a long time. Also, the second film that has ever justified 3D for me (the first being avatar). See it in the theater for the spectacle. |

"And while 3D may be little more than a gimmick, Cuaron uses the extra dimension so flawlessly, it shut down the portions of my brain responsible for empathy, remorse, and basic reasoning." That guy is hilarious. I'm going to have to watch his other film reviews now. |

I won't be seeing it. the technical problems will destroy any enjoyment I get out of the film. Kinda like the uncanny valley. Not fiction/fantasy enough for me to suspend disbelief. |

Technical problems? Elaborate. The only unrealistic parts of the movie were: being able to cry in space and... Spoiler: |

So you read what happens in the movie and ruined the entire thing for yourself. Awesome. If NDT can watch the film and enjoy it, but you can't, well... |

After being burned on the dual travesty of Armageddon & Deep Impact I typically vet any film purporting to be even vaguely scientifically accurate before I pay to see it. |

You don't watch this movie for the scientific accuracy. You watch it for the terrifying prospect of being ****. The most realistic/accurate part of this film is the sound. Every other space movie is full of unrealistic sound. Not this one. |

That reminds me. When Psifonian and I went to see Prisoners, this annoying old woman (who nattered constantly throughout the film in her Fran Drescher-esque voice and Noo Yawk accent) piped up loudly during the trailer for Gravity "Aw, that's my greatest fee-yah." Relax honey, you're, like, 75. I don't think you're going to be taking a space jaunt anytime soon. She was also haranguing the waitress about what the best dry wine to pair with popcorn would be. I **** you not. |

Fairly sure it's mentioned that the MMU in the movie is some kind of prototype. That's way too unrealistic though. I mean, when do we ever improve on past ideas?? |
