Well, that looks neat.

I've been waiting for this. She is my favorite Disney villian.

She was actually replaced as my favorite villain by Dr. Facilier, but yes, Maleficent has always been epic.

I toss in my vote for Claude Frollo, but Maleficent is truly one of the greats.

If there's one thing Disney's great at making, it's memorable villains. Maleficent, Chernabog, Frollo, Scar, Cruella de Vil, Hades, Ratigan, Ursula, Jafar...

Pocahontas was a forgetable movie, in general. Ratigan didn't help make it more memorable.

I can't believe he left out The Queen.

Ah! I was thinking Ratcliffe.

I don't even remember "The Great Mouse Detective." That was before the Disney Renaissance, in the era of crappy Disney movies between The Aristocats and Oliver & Company (inclusive.) The Jungle Book (1967) was the last movie Walt himself worked on, and then it took 22 years of flopping around aimlessly until Disney Animation found itself again.

There are a couple of greats in that period of doldrums, though. The Great Mouse Detective, The Rescuers, The Brave Little Toaster, etc.

Chernabog - the demon in Fantasia
Frollo - villain in The Hunchback of Notre Dame

and FarSky already answered about Ratigan.

SB is my favorite classic Disney movie (mainly due to the art design). Modernly (not counting Pixar), I don't have a favorite per se, but I love B&tB, Mulan, and Brave.

Brave Motherfrakkin' Little Toaster.

Wait, i'm genre-crossed again.

*scratches her head in confusion.*

The Princess & the Frog never gets mention, and it may be the best Disney "princess" fairy tale ever.

Yeah, I just goofed on that. I forgot that one was Pixar.

I very much enjoy TP&tF, as well. :)

I'm so glad I wasn't drinking when I read that.

The brave little toaster, who was the villain?

I'd say the air conditioner was to be pitied, but damn, he was scary.

The abstract villain of toaster is the same one of the toy story movies: time.

Though if you want a more tangible villain, I guess you could say the big magnet or crusher. Though I haven't seen this in 20 years, so my memory isn't perfect.

I'm surprised they're remaking this. Wasn't the original Sleeping Beauty like 15 or 16 years old? Can they get away with that in today's PC era?

It's not a remake. It's a prequel.

Prequel?

I hear the sounds of some execs saying "We want some of that 'Wicked' money."

That was "Oz the Great and Powerful." (Also Disney. Also good.)
