Laughed the entire way through this... but not for the easily offended. Great musical. |

TheRiov wrote: not for the easily offended. well, yeah. Trey Parker and Matt Stone... With that said, I believe Numbuk (?) was talking this up how funny it was...either Numbuk or another Mormon on another message board, I forget. I believe the Church of JC of LDS is also officially not offended by this musical, having released a relatively positive press release about it. |

Haven't seen the show, but bought the soundtrack back when the tony madness happened. It's hilarious. |

The Church of LDS actually had 3 full page, full color ads in the programs. I tend to think whoever selected the venue for the ads hadn't seen the show. |

From reviews I've seen, a lot of Mormons actually enjoyed the musical. |

I haven't seen it but I dig the songs I've heard, including the one Mus just quoted. It's been my observation that Matt and Trey seem to have the most respect for the LDS religion out of all the others. As odd as that may seem. I think anyone who can't laugh at themselves (religious or not) is being fairly close minded. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |

They've done a couple of episodes of South Park with Mormons and while they've been pretty merciless with their satire, they have generally portrayed them as kind, and generous people. (If a little kooky in their beliefs.) |
