Title says it all. Just curious how many Gladers still actively read/buy/collect hardcopy comics. Personally, I'm on a bit of a Marvel Omnibus kick at the moment, and I occasionally haul my old longboxes out of the bowels of our downstairs hall closet for a trip down memory lane, but I haven't really been a regular reader or purchaser of comics since the late-90s. Still believe I'll come back to it someday though!

Not anymore. Having moved so damn much over the past fifteen years, I've opted to digitize as much of my media as possible. Less collector-y, but far, far easier to transport. ComiXology is my friend.

I have a collection, but it's down to stuff that's not worth anything except the memory-lane trip and sparking interest in my son. I sold anything that was worth anything about a year ago.

I've made the move to marvel unlimited for the same reason, just no space anymore. Moving everything possible to digital.

I'm slowly combatting my packrat completionist collector's urges and dropping some Marvel titles from my file to read them on Unlimited, instead.

I recently picked up some digital Star Wars titles on deep discount from Dark Horse before they're forced out of print, and am impressed enough with their app that I'll probably continue that way for them, too, when I've got another Dark Horse series to read.

It's been forever since I used the Dark Horse app because at the outset at least, it was unusably buggy and crashed more times than I could count. I finally gave up on it and just bought my Dark Horse titles through Kindle, since Dark Horse never got the stick out of their *** and marketed through ComiXology (for my money, a demonstrably better product).

It's got some nice features that have always bugged me by their absence in the Marvel app (but I can't argue with the cheap Marvel subscription for access to their whole library)... prompts to open the next issue in the series when you reach the end of a book, a zooming panel-by-panel mode that works elegantly, and automatically marking what you haven't read as "new," primarily.

The Marvel app, on the other hand, to its credit, has a lot of really excellent searching options that make reading Unlimited (and, presumably, buying by issue) quite manageable despite their enormous catalog.

I buy GNs or trade paperbacks occasionally. I had to stop getting the individual issues during my separation/divorce because the funds aren't there.

Although I just took the girl child to the comic store to pick out a few things. :)

stopped using comixology when amazon bought it.
Marvel Unlimited feeds me total dross on a regular basis. Makes me realise how bad most marvel stuff is - though Ms Marvel is freaking /amazing/

Still buy TPBs for things like walking dead, saga, etc.

I hear a lot of good things about the new Ms. Marvel. That and Hawkeye. Everything else is just kinda...there.

Scott Snyder handles Batman very well. Really like his stuff.

Right now I'm catching up on Fables.

Hmm, could be interesting. Netflix for comics?

Surprised it took so long. Crunchyroll and others already offer this for Japanese manga.

Not really, but there are only 2 books left in the Blade of the Immortal series to get and I still like fables. I haven't gotten a new Fables TPB in a couple years.
