I'm not really surprised there hasn't been any discussion of Inside Out here...if everyone else is like me, Pixar's recent output has been lackluster enough to temper (if not outright kill) enthusiasm for its upcoming slate. But Inside Out is finally a return to form. Equal parts hilarious, creative, and heartbreaking, as only Pixar (when they're on their game) can do. |

I have heard nothing but good things. Think I'll catch this in the theater. |

This movie was freaking amazing, by the way. One of Pixar's best. |

That's the abridged version of the one I saw, which basically included every Pixar feature-length. |

I'll say it even though I'm in the minority. I thought the beginning and ending were funny, but I got pretty bored in the middle. |

Right, so I'm trying to sell my house, and we recently got it on the market and all cleaned up. Talked to the kids about the move, alleviated concerns as best we could (6 year old, anyway - 3 year old doesn't care), etc. So now that we're on the market we decided to do something nice for the kids this weekend and take them to see the new Pixar movie. /facepalm |

Let's go watch us the funny pictures!" |

Finally got to see this... **** heartrending. I think it was moreso than Up. Up was that sucker punch right at the beginning... this was an extended descent into darkness and depression... loss of identity and sense of self. Bing Bong... my god. Why Pixar. Why do you do these things? |

Upon multiple rewatchings... Holy crap this thing's deep. Also, I think the Blade Runners have replaced their test with this movie. If you can watch it and not tear up a bit... you're not human. |

Re: Bing Bong. From an EW interview with Richard Kind Quote: Your final scene has made a lot of folks cry. Did you tear up?
When I was recording it, I cried every time I tried to say “Take her to the moon.” You can hear it in my voice. Last year I took a trip with my family from Los Angeles to San Francisco. We stopped at Pixar, and they showed us some of the last scenes. My oldest daughter, who was 12 at the time, looked at me and just started sobbing and ran into her mother’s arms. It hit home for her. |
