Post subject:  Obscure Movie Identification Needed
Ok this one has been bugging me for months.

It was a made-for-TV movie back in either the late 80's or very early 90's.

It started out on a starship (or on a space station, or in space somehow) where the main guy meets at some point the main girl (short, thin, blonde -- kinda elvish features). The main crux of the movie is that they encounter this alien being that gets on board the ship somehow and starts killing off the crew.

The ship gets back to Earth and the creature continues to pursue the main characters. It's kind of like The Thing, in that the creature can take over people's bodies and burst out of the skin when it wants to attack.

Some scenes I remember about it:

The alien creature burrowed a lot underground to chase people.

There was a scene where they main characters were in a building of some sort with a long hallway and a glassed double to the outside (daytime). One of the shots was of the main characters running toward the door while the chase cam simulated the creature chasing them.

At the end, the main guy has a dream where they are at a funeral for someone, he catches up to the main girl and spins her around only to find the creature bursting out of her face . . . then he wakes up and the movie ends with him and the girl in bed, freaked out from the nightmare and her consoling him.

Anyone have any ideas? It was a good movie but cannot for the life of me remember its name.
