Wow, the things you find on the Internet while looking for something else.

Another entry in the "people with too much time on their hands" category: Lost is a game. Pages and pages of analysis devoted to this person's theory (a guy, I assume, as I can't imagine a woman being so completely off the wall) that Lost is actually a depiction of a video game being played by some unseen players.

I haven't waded through the whole site, so it's still a bit murky to me.

I think the fatal flaw here is that someone at ABC has to know what the ultimate resolution of the show is going to be. And the idea that they'd invest 6 years of money and effort just to pull back a curtain at the end of the run and say, "Hey, it's just a couple of guys playing a video game" seems kind of far-fetched.

Then again, I didn't expect such a crappy resolution to the Matrix movies, so, heck, I guess anything's possible.

My hope is that Lost is a shoebox diorama made by an autistic child. And then I want to see his teacher place it on a shelf next to a snow globe that has a hospital with the words "St. Elsewhere" on it.
