I have been looking for some heavier bands fronted by ladies.

I mean everyone knows who Evanescence is... I already am completely in love with the singer for Arch Enemy..

Lita Ford, blah blah, Vixen, blah blah...

So I am going to post some lady fronted heavy bands that I need to checkout here, please add to the list for me:

ETHS
Otep
Epica
Nightwish * (they are okay, at best)
Theatre of Tragedy (after the first singer left, they became meh)
Lacuna Coil (how the hell have I missed this music?)
Drain STH
The Agonist
Walls of Jericho
Bloodlined Calligraphy
Straight Line Stitch
Winter in Eden
Echoes of Eternity
Sirenia
Delain

I've been hearing this on KISW a lot lately. I like their other song (Its Not You) better, but I found this video easier.

They're commercial sounding, but certainly heavier than most typical female-fronted groups. The music's not my favorite thing ever, but I don't mind it. I have no idea how they compare to those bands you've listed.

The Agonist seems to be Screamcore, maybe bordering on deathcore; I am not sure of their genre really.

Amy Lee is my future ex-wife....

I like Evanesence. They are not on the list because pretty much everyone knows who they are.

Flyleaf and Kitty are both fronted by female lead singers and pretty heavy.

I saw them open for Shinedown this past summer...they are ok. That is as far as I will go.

Here ya go DS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fe ... al_singers

I had most of Nightwish's, Lacuna Coil's and Epica's discography on my old computer. I think I liked Lacuna the most.

Am I the only one that keeps reading this thread title as "Female Frontal"?

They're not around anymore, but Daisy Chainsaw. I think the lead singer and one or two of the others started another band, but I'm too lazy to look.

Yeah I like Lacuna Coil a lot. Her voice fits with the metal genre very well. Nightwish is ok, but the voice is too operatic and feels out of place.

I do not like Garbage that much. I only like a very few punk bands.

Don't call Garbage a "punk" band, it hurts my heart.
