...my voice is all I seem to have sometimes. I got out my guitar yesterday and between then and now, I wrote this: http://www.zshare.net/download/73512021886ea49e/ My mother, my baby boy, and my grandmother all died in the same 6 month period. This song was my way of letting it all out. I was 4mths pregnant when my mother died and the last thing she said to me after I promised to name him after my late father, was when she whispered and her voice broke and she said "one life ends and another begins." I know its asking a lot, but it would mean so much to me if you would give it a listen...its just a rough draft so the sound is not great and I mess up a few times, but my emotion and my pain is raw and you just can't capture that all the time in a fancy, well-done, rehearsed recording. Thank you. |

It's beautiful, LK. Your singing is always wonderful, the imagery is evocative and touching, and the sincerity in your lyrics and voice is unmistakable. |
