Definitely skeptical, but it sure has an all-star cast.

Yeah, might have some promise.

If nothing else it will be interesting to see how the animatronics compare with the new level of CGI available.

Wow that is the scrubbiest bunch of scrubby actors they could find :) It looks like a SyFy cast but with actual special effects and a camera budget. (aka I'm in).

Will it be as good as Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus?

Nothing is that awesome. At least judging from the 5 minutes I actually spent watching that...

<3 their continuity. They used a 747 (4 engines) in the first part, and then the jet that goes down only has 2 engines.

I just got back from seeing this and I enjoyed it a great deal. It had the slowest start, though. But it picked up about 20ish minutes in and basically kept going. Sadly, I liked Predator and Predator 2 more, but this was in the same league as Predator 2 at least. Much better than both Alien vs Predator movies.

Great to hear, I'll have to get out and see this one.

My son and I enjoyed it. I thought it was better than Predator II but not as good as the first. I love Adrian Brody but he just didn't sell it to me on the overall. The way it ended, they have to be making another one.

I don't like Adrian Brody and yeah, he was the worst of the lot. Gotta say that I enjoyed Larry's character quite a bit. Topher, too. And of course, Danny Trejo never fails to disappoint.

Saw it yesterday, matinee. Suprised it was still playing. I enjoyed it, but didn't go in hoping for a whole lot either.

Yes, a sequel is in order and I didn't recognize Topher until right before he died.

Overall, okay, good summer entertainment for action movie/scifi fans.

LTTP -- Netflixed it.

Was the least enjoyable of the series for me (I even thought AvP 1 & 2 were better), but was still okay. Nowhere near Pred 1 & 2, tho.

It seemed like they just threw some stuff/characters in just to have them there. Allegiances are created and destroyed in the blink of an eye without reason, and:
Spoiler:
WTF happened to Trejo's character? He was there one minutes fighting off the dog things, then the next he is dead being used for bait. It didn't show him getting snatched (unless it was a blink or you'll miss it scene).

And the doctor guy. Suddenly he's "one of them?"

And it always frickin' annoys the **** out of me when shady/slimy characters suddenly get all heroic and chivalrous (I'm lookin' at you, death row guy)

Some nods to the original Predator movie were cool, but overall it was more dull than I expected. Like I said, it was okay at best, but I ended up wanting something more.

I must say that the sword fight scene in the tall grass was pretty well-done. The visuals of the movie were, sadly, the best part.

And a quick poll for those who have watched it:

This move was:

A) Better than I expected.

B) Worse than I expected.

C) About what I expected (for better or worse).

C. Like I said, I enjoyed it. Much more than the AvP movies. Not quite as much as the original 2 films, though...but those were in the golden years of the action film, so it's kinda hard to expect a movie from this era to stand up to something from that era(for the genre, anyway).

I mean, unless Arnold does another Predator movie, none of them will ever live up to the original anyway.

I actually enjoyed the AvP movies (the first moreso than the second, although I liked the Predator toys more in the second), but they took multiple viewings to warm up to.

I suspect if I were to watch Predators a few more times, I may warm up to it as well, but I dunno. It just seemed to be one of those "almost" movies to me.
