Perhaps it didn't have the best trailer then, because the clips I saw of it looked kind of childish and stale. That's good, though, if the full film turns out to be good. |

A little childish, but not offensive (my benchmark for kids films). It was fun - saw it in Imax 3D last night. My neighbor, who does animation, liked it a lot, so I'm assuming it's technically a very good film. Story-wise, it was OK - has to have stuff for the kids, but there weren't a lot of pop-culture references, which I appreciated. My wife pointed out that it was weird to have a Scottish accent for the Viking leader, but this is the drawback of the need to have name actors to do the voices. Personally, I think Joe-schmoe could have been the lead voice, but then people wouldn't go see it. Which is kinda sad, really - more celebrity-driven marketing. But, I do like Gerard Butler, so it worked for me. |

Daughter and I went to see it. Loved it. Really enjoy Gerard Butler's ability. Seeing the guy in a lot of stuff lately(this, Law Abiding Citizen, Rock n Rolla) and the guy really seems to know how to act. Anyway, very good movie all the way around. |

You should see his Beowulf and Grendel flick that came out a few years ago. It's a great movie, and he really is the man. At least, my wife thinks so. But, yeah, he really did make this movie, for me. |

Fantastic movie. Definitely worth going to see while in the theaters. I also enjoyed the use of 3D. Didn't feel tacky or a last minute addition. |

Just finished watching this movie. Awesome movie. My only complaint was with the theater. The projector was just slightly out of focus, so the movie wasn't as crisp looking as it deserved to be. I guess I'll need to watch it again on 3d. |

Or, maybe they showed the 3D version, and forgot to hand out the glasses?! Probably not, but it would be funny. |

I saw this movie last night in 2D, and will be going again to see it in 3D to compare the experience. I'm not anticipating even a minor improvement in experience, and if I'm right I won't pay to see 3D in the future unless it's unavoidable or unless it's one of THOSE movies that I want to get as much from as what is available. The only movie like that I know of in the queue would be something like Iron Man II. |

Necroposting due to Blu-Ray. Yes, I saw this in theatres. Enough to buy the movie, which reminded me once again that this was Dreamworks Animation's best bit of film ever. It's just as good the second time around. This is as close as they've gotten to surpassing Pixar. |

My daughters really like it. The youngest (2 1/2) wants to be a viking for Halloween now. |

Yes. They may be clinging to your arm in parts, but when my daughter saw it in 3D back in March, she was four. |
