Has anyone watched this? It's like a show Brendon Small would write, but not quite up to snuff with Metalocalpyse.
Still, the characters are funny, not really because your juxtaposing ridiculous horror movie monsters into mundane, sometimes surreal and fantastical situations and settings (some weird version of NYC where trees have sex and hippies have a festival in celebration), but because they deal with these situations in a way that is funny and sometimes I-can't-believe-it-but-everyone-knows-a-guy-like-that-Larry-David-Curb-Your-Enthusiasm sort of way.
Basically, the surreal, ridiculous situations that everyone who knows that guy (the Larry David in all our lives) finds himself in are given some sort of fantastical, analog in which the fantasy monster deals with in an analogous way.
It's pretty funny, but you might have understand or appreciate that particular type of humor.
