...sucked.
Just watched it last night and I'd give it 2 and a half stars. The best word I could use to describe the movie would be "disjointed." Its like they took some watered down theology and put only a drop or two in the movie, got a couple of action/scary moments (which totally flopped IMHO) and a bunch of flat characters and bad acting (except for the two archangels).
The plot was boring and predictable and other than the basic premise, was not very original at all.
I was disappointed. I remember seeing the previews for this movie in the theatre and thought it was going to be good.

Would this be the movie with Charles Dutton, Dennis Quaid and Paul Bettany?

The ending to this bad movie rammed it straight into terrible territory. Don't waste your money, time or thoughts on this one.

Yes, DS, and yeah the ending was pretty bad, Lenas, but so was the rest of it so it wasn't a surprise at all. By that time, I was ready for it to be over.
Such a shame because if they had put more into the story instead of just throwing scraps together that didn't really tie in with anything else, it could have been a different and potentially really good movie.

I would recomend The Prophecy with Christopher Walken as the angel Gabriel
