The Glade 4.0

Surprised there is not a topic on this movie already, unless I overlooked it in my search.

Anyway, just watched it Netflix streaming.

Started out like a TV movie, but actually got pretty epic about 45min-hour in.

Talk about intense -- sheesh. I must say, despite being geologically near impossible, it was pretty darn entertaining if you didn't think too hard.

Oh and <3 Woody Harrelson + Russians LOL

Anyway, wasn't Saving Private Ryan or anything, but still a good action flick.

If I had to equate it to a food, I'd say it's a Tootsie Pop -- starts out safe and kinda boring, but gets to the good stuff in the center.

I also watched it on Netflix streaming recently and while it wasn't an OMGFavorite, I kinda liked it.

I have mixed feelings. It had neat special effects, but anything that gives any sort of acknowledgment to the whole 2012 thing(even if it is just for fun) needs to die in a fire.

While I have no doubt that the Mayan's predicted that 2012 was the end of the previous age according to their calendar, I am no so convinced that the end will entail fire and destruction.

All of the events that happened in the movie could happen of course, but the chances of them happening as quickly, all at once, and on the scale that they did are beyond astronomical.

I wasn't able to shrug off the science, unfortunately. Therefore, I thought the movie sucked balls. I could see how it would be very entertaining if I could have turned off my brain.

I couldn't stand it. Fell asleep like 3 times during.

So, it's a mediocre film that wasn't as good as that other mediocre film?

okay... my take on the whole 2012 thing...

I figure Oogah and Munga were creating this calendar once upon a time.... they realized they had over 2000 years planned out and just decided to stop.

"Hey Oogah... do we really need to continue this thing? Really.... we are not getting OT for this. Can't we just stop?"

"Look, we were hired to put this together and were given no end time to reach...."

"But really... why keep going? Look, ummmmm.... the world will end in 2012. Erm... in December."

"We better come up with something good here... why will it end?"

"ummm.... the stars will all align and it will cause ummmmm floods. Yeah... and fire from the skies. If it doesn't happen.... who cares we will be dead by then, it will be someone else's problem then."

"Aww **** it, works for me.. Lets turn this work in and go home. I think they are cutting out some hearts in the town square tonight."

"awesome, I will bring Barbara and the kids, maybe we can BBQ before it starts?"

"Great, see you at noon!"
