This movie is incredibly fun. Not a great flick, but tons of fun for all. |

I may have to see it again. I saw it in the theater, I didn't feel like it was fun for anyone. Just so...sterile. |

I went to sleep about a half hour into the film. Woke up during the last act, I didn't feel like I missed anything. |

I thought the whole "pulp adventure" theme was fun. It was a good way for the film to stand out from the pack. |

Love the pulp aspect, love the visuals...but it was sterile, and I did fall asleep too. Still haven't actually seen the entire movie. |

Since Farsky's not posting anymore, I'll have to gush for two here. It's fantabulous. There's not enough pulp these days. It captured the pulp vibe wonderfully, in choice of locales, art direction, villainous plot type... It's really a shame the writer/director had essentially no directing experience; it really shows in the performances that he wasn't able to inspire and inform the actors' performances the way you need to when you're doing that much green screening. A not insignificant part of me wishes that somebody would pick up the rights and create an ongoing Sky Captain comic book series. Oh, and trivia for you guys: the entire thing, minus the specific plot of the adventure featured in the movie, is ripped off wholesale from Crimson Skies. From the plane aesthetics down to the logos... |

The movie was just all over the place. I was glad I didn't have to pay money to see it. |

Dammit, that's right.. when you were in town and we grabbed those margaritas, we spent NO time talking Crimson Skies! Ah, well. With no recent activity from the license, probably not that much to talk about, anyways. =) |

Instead I get to cut my 4 day vacation short and go to OK city :\ |
