I haven't had much time for TV until lately, so I am catching up on some series. I finished Better Off Ted and just started Eureka. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks :)

She's already reading the books. No sense subjecting her to the disappointment of the show.

White Collar, Leverage, and Burn Notice are three of my favs.

How I Met Your Mother is also excellent, but not everybody's into it. A few episodes should be watched, regardless, so that one is at least passingly familiar with the cultural icon in the making that is Barney Stinson.

If you haven't seen Firefly, as mentioned above, it is super awesome, and easy to watch through since Fox killed it because they have soulless, dimwitted bastards for wives.

I'm watching Stargate SG-1, I believe i'm up to season 4. They have all of the variations on Stargate out there, will be many seasons of watching if you get into it.

Dresden Files *
Farscape
Primeval
Red Dwarf
Sanctuary
Surface **
The IT Crowd
Torchwood

* (I know the show deviated from the books, but I liked it and the only big disappointment was that it got canceled after only 1 season)
** (I'm still not even sure why I like this show, but I do)

Glad you're liking Eureka. I love that show!

Here are some others you might enjoy:
Firefly (series) & Serenity (the movie)
Farscape
Battlestar Galactica (my wife's not really a big Sci Fi fan, but she actually really got into this one. Give it a try, I think you'll like it, but you have to start with the mini-series, which might be on the season 1 discs)
Stargate SG-1 is great, but it is 10 seasons, so don't be in any hurry, heh.
House
The Tudors

LTTP, but I'll put in another vote for Weeds. Love that show!

Deadwood. - the only bummer here is they canceled the show without doing any sort of wrap-up. Lots of profanity (not that it bothers me so much, but just a warning).
Fringe (if you haven't been watching it?!)

I like Weeds but as the story goes on, Nancy goes from lovable drug-slinging widow to a drug kingpin Mr. Magoo. Some of the situations are just crazy.

This. I've had Season 5 in my Netflix instant-watch queue for weeks, now. Just can't seem to convince myself it's worth watching.

The season finale was pretty good.

In fact, I would be okay with it being the series finale. Unfortunately, they're signed for another season, so Nancy will have some crazy shenanigans going on the next few episodes... The thing that bothers me mostly as the story goes on, is
Spoiler:
that you really stop liking Nancy. She used to be so sweet and seemingly innocent. Eventually you find out she's pretty much just a selfish whore and Judah seemed to have been her only form of stability.
Silas is one of the few characters left in the show that I like. Funny, too, because I used to hate him.

Everything Kaffis just said.

Also:
House. (You're in the medical profession, and I'm not sure how that would impact your view of the show, but DFK! loves it.)
The Human Target (only one season in, but great so far)
Lie to Me

If you've never watched them (and if Netflix carries them): Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel are must-watch shows as well.

Holy crap, none of us mentioned Veronica Mars.

Veronica Mars.

There, solved.

Not knowing if these are available may make it useless - some of my favorites over the years

The Prisoner (British - one season)
The Avengers (British - many seasons, those with Emma Peele the best)
Picket Fences
Moonlighting
Home Improvement
Centennial
Perry Mason (Raymond Burr)
