FARSKEE!

How can you not have told the ladies and gentleman of this?

Preview.

Look at the first two in the cast... that alone merits mention here... but continue through...

Milla, Orlando, Juno Temple (Atonement), Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson, 3:10 to Yuma), Matthew Macfadyen (Death at a Funeral - UK version [Chris Rock role]), Christoph Waltz, Ray Stevenson (Titus Pullo in Rome), Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale - Le Chiffre), Luke Evans (Tamara Drewe), Til Schweiger (Stiglitz in Basterds).

Obviously, <3 the Milla. Like Orlando.

The young'uns are suitably well known they may not suck and kill this.

Macfadyen is great in Death at a Funeral and Pillars of Earth.

Christoph Waltz as Richelieu? Yeah, that's a win.

Stevenson is great and I think he'll be fantastic.

Not sure about the next two, though Evans looks like a Musketeer.

And I really liked Schweiger.

Farsky, consider yourself scooped.

I've seen news of it, and it has a fantastic cast...buuuut...

Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson.

Director of MORTAL KOMBAT, SOLDIER, ALIEN VS PREDATOR, and RESIDENT EVIL (and, admittedly, EVENT HORIZON, which I like).

Consider my enthusiasm existent, but tempered. :)

Mortal Kombat is a great movie...

My god, I just saw a trailer for this on Wired ... I'm appalled.

Maybe it's just because the original was so wonderfully historically accurate (or, at least, tried to be), and was a seminal moment in my movie-going life ... Or, maybe it's because it has flying war-balloons and a steampunk feel? Just doesn't do it for me, sorry. Will not be paying any kind of money to see this, other than Netflix streaming, which I pay for anyway.

I still haven't seen a version of the Three Musketeers that could hold a candle to this one.

I am still looking forward to this movie. Hell I may even splurge and go see it in 3d.

That's the one I meant ... I should have been more specific, since there were three or four versions before that one, I think.

This is where the disconnect between me and the rest of humanity comes out. I can't see any redeeming feature in this new one, or a reason to see it, yet I'm sure it will come out and make millions. (Even Milla, and I like her. A lot.)
