TV Burn Notice Movie. Watching now. On Hulu until midnight. Does this mean more episodes?

Wait, what? How did I not see this on TV? And why only on Hulu 'till Midnight? I'm so confused!

I don't know. It was only on Hulu for three days. I was hoping my intelligent gladers had more infos. I figured the series was over (quite poetically I might add). Then this popped on my queue.

Apparently there was a rights dispute that's resulted in the video being taken down early.

It was a good movie with many treats for the Campbell fan. It makes me want more Burn notice and that makes me sad though.

Okay, just finished it. Nicely done.

Interesting that Jeffrey Donovan directed, too.

This is supposed to be the intro to the next season which will start in June, I think.

I am really torn, I liked Burn Notice at first but totally over it now.

Yeah I know. Weston coming in from the cold both physically and metaphorically makes an excellent ending point. To continue they have to back down from that moment.

I think there is wisdom to ending a series leaving people wanting more. Tying the major plotlines up and giving leaving the door open separates the good from the great. "And Dr Sam Beckett never returned home" rather than languishing pointlessly forever (*cough* Simpson's *cough*)

Doesn't mean I wont watch. It just means they may have missed their opportunity to finish strong, complete, and shark-jump free.

Was surprised that my "burn notice" subscription didn't pick this up, fail USA. Glad someone mentioned it so I could manually DVR it.

It's because it was titled differently. It wasn't "Burn Notice," it was "Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe."

There's two sides of the coin on whether that was a good idea or not, and I don't come down solidly on either.

Oh, I know that's why it happened, I'm just really surprised they didn't think ahead and set it up so that all of the existing Burn Notice viewers automatically got the show.

USA doesn't control your DVR. ;)

Sure, they couldn't have just listed the show as Burn Notice, and put the subtitle as the title of the episode, so that it would've recorded for people who already watch the show.

Regardless, it's not like it really matters. In typical USA fashion, they will probably show it 12 more times before Burn Notice starts up again, including running it back to back 6 times the day of the premiere. :)

As I said, there are arguments on both sides of that coin. Billing it as a normal (double-) episode, fans' expectations could be let down, as the first hour only has one scene with Michael, and the second doesn't have him at all. Secondly, the pacing wasn't done to break into two episodes, which makes it bad on reruns. And finally, it's way out of the normal timeline and doesn't feature any of the supporting cast except Sam.

I guess when you think about it, it's a kinda lousy Burn notice Episode, but a really decent Campbell tv movie.

I guess since I started watching Burn Notice because I saw Campbell was in it (and had heard nothing else about the show), I'm pretty much the target market). :)
