For me the most annoying commercials lately have been the HORRIBLE ones they put right into the center of shows. Bones, for example, has had several moments where they actively demonstrate a new feature of the car they are driving. I realize it's because everyone has a DVR and online and is skipping the commercials, so the advertisers are reacting to that, but still, whomever got that idea pushed through should be hung up by their thumbs.

I don't think stealth advertising is a bad thing. People don't want to watch commercials, but want free content. It seems like a viable answer. I'd rather see a "one or the other approach.

...it used to be "stealth". As in a character passing another character a coke or something. Now the character stops the scene and says "Would you like a drink of my nice refreshing coca cola?
