The promo for Community season 3 is one of the best things ever. Can't wait for the new season.

I don't like the direction they've taken Chevy Chase's character, when he was kind of an inconsiderate ******* he was relatable but now that he is an extremist on every opinion and disagreement he's lost his appeal to me. Otherwise I love the show.

I've just started watching this (i.e. the first two episodes). It's great. Too bad it's been yanked from NBC's midseason schedule. :(

I was just coming here to post this. It's arrested development all over again. A well written show that challenges it's viewers, cancelled because it's too good.

I am sadness. Here's hoping someone at NBC comes to their **** senses, cancels the train wreck that is whitney, and doubles community's budget.

It's the 80/20 rule. Since 80% of the people whom television advertisements motivate to buy something are in the dumbest 20% of the people watching, your programming can't be too smart.

Dan Harmon quietly replaced as show runner on Community. WTF.

Weird since they gave him 13 episodes to wrap the series up. Maybe they figure if they whack him first then they can quietly ease the show off the air?

That's the strangest part, they actually hired two relatively popular producers (rumored to be in high demand/expensive) to run the show next season and "broaden its appeal." Why would they do that for a show they've been trying to kill off? I'm starting to think they just don't know what to do with it.

The guys they brought in were latter-day showrunners on 'Just Shoot Me' and some CW comedy called 'Aliens in America.' I'm not convinced they're going to make any recognizable kind of 'Community.'

This was a Sony move, not NBC's (as Sony owns the show). Most likely, it's a last-ditch effort to make it more palatable for the rubes, and thus get it to the standard 100 episodes for syndication. If it doesn't make it there (like, say, their ingenious plan backfires and burns down the show not that THAT could possibly happen), then it's at least closer to their goal, and gives NBC at least one more known quantity going into midseason.

That is why I am going with the black-hat theory. Harmon has a huge cult following who got the show put back on the air once already and I think they'd prefer to avoid another Chuck-campaign so they'll remove him and let these two butcher it to the point where no one wants it back.
