This is new to Netflix Streaming. One of my guilty pleasures is watching weird, indie documentaries. And I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this documentary, based off of the subject matter.

This is a documentary about a man named John Brzenk, who lives in the same city I work in (Sandy, UT). The movie was filmed in 2009 and for the last 20 years, he has been the undefeated world champion of Arm Wrestling.

It's an interesting story about a man who knows he is aging and having a tougher time keeping up with the younger folks. And it's an interesting look at his two main competitors. One is a jock douchenozzle who thinks he's the greatest human to ever walk the face of the earth, and that every other living being blows goats. The other is a huge Russian who is a bit more humble and laid-back, is a good sport, and very much respects and looks-up to the aging champion.

If you're ever bored, I'd give it a watch. If I ever see John around here when I'm out at lunch, I will have to shake his massive hand.

I'll have to give that a look. Just reading your description reminded me of a fantastic documentary from 2007 that I strongly recommend to anyone called The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, about two guys competing to get the highest score on a Donkey Kong arcade game. Much much better than it sounds.

Oh yeah, I love that documentary too. :D Steve Wiebe is a great underdog to watch!

Another good documentary that is/was on netflix? "Blood Into Wine." It's a documentary about Tool (the band) frontman Maynard James Keenan and his moving from music to his new passion: making wine in the Arizona desert. It's also much better than it sounds. I applaud any person who forgoes what the public wants and pursues their own dreams and passions.
