http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46240597/ns ... y_area_ca/ Rumors, yes. But I wouldn't put it past George Lucas to pull a stunt like this. |

I love that the new series focuses on the bounty hunters, about which George famously said "Why does everyone love Boba Fett, he doesn't even have any lines?" |

There are not enough facepalms in the universe. I will grant an episode or two of the series exploring this could be fun. Even more fun will be watching the reboot of the series when I'm 85 and George is dead. Just wheel me over to the window, give me a vegi-protein nutrient infusion and plug me into the neuro-cognitive entertainment unit. I can't wait. |

Its really a pity the franchise isn't owned by a studio other than Lucas, who could smack him down for this. Shareholders can wrest control from a the CEO... too bad fans can't do that here. That said, this seems a little too out there even for Lucas. |

He's mostly bitter that his grand vision wasn't as popular as the vision that got edited back in the seventies. |

Manticore FTW. Although it'd be hard to make an Honorverse movie; ships flinging salvo after salvo of missiles at several million kilometers doesn't do well in terms of striking visual effects. Hence w'll continue to have science fiction where space combat takes place at ranges embarrassingly short by today's naval standards. |

I dunno, If it was done maybe like a submarine movie or something where the missiles are more torpedoesque, and its not visual effects as much as the tension created from having a quarter of a million missiles flying at you... Oh god, I'd LOVE to see the battle of Manticore put to screen. Done with the FX crew from BSG/Firefly. /fap. |

I thought he was done after Red Tails, from the sound of that one interview. (In that thread) I can still see him doing this though. |

I would, because the magic of what makes the lore in the original SW triology interesting is how rare the magic is. Now, there are a million space wizards running around everywhere, lumped into good and evil sides, using the same technology 1000 years ago, and the word "Empire" never goes away. Now a days, I like to imagine that the first movies are the only thing that exists for the universe. On Boba fett: He's mostly silent and kind of enigmatic, so that can make him cature the imagination, but that only goes so far for me. The mystery is can be what makes a character and once you take that away, they are no longer interesting. Fans take everything too far. Now we have Dog the Bounty Hunter. |
