Title says it all.

I've cancelled all of my DC subscriptions. I shall now receive exactly 1 comic book a month.

Spoiler:
In case you're wondering ...

R.I.P. Wally West. Dan DiDio and Grant Morrison have retconned him out of the DCU.

So just curious, at the height of readership, how many were you receiving?

I generally carry 25-30 books a month, of which at least 15 were regular DC series. I currently have no DC subscriptions. The only book I'll be subscribing to for the foreseeable future is The New Avengers vol 2.

What in the...

Well, that just sucks. I'd be pissed too. (I have no subscriptions to give up at this time, thanks to having to give them up for budgetary reasons.)

As in, he no longer exists? Lame.

It's a little known secret, but Wally West is my favorite DC character of all time. While I love Batman and Superman and almost anything DC, for various reason, my favorite character ... my favorite hero was Wally West. Killing Barry Allen was huge; Barry was an amazing Silver Age hero.

Flashpoint is temporally canonical. Wally West is dead and never received the Speed Force infusion, because Barry Allen and Iris West never dated.

Thus, perhaps the most compelling person in all of comic books no longer exists.

Favorite scene in any DC-related property:

Quote:
Flash: Hold on a second here. What about the whole secret identity thing? I mean, I trust you guys, but I'm not sure I'm ready to...
Batman: [points at Flash] Wally West, [points at Superman] Clark Kent,... [removes own mask] ...Bruce Wayne.
Flash: [stares, wide-eyed] ...Showoff. [shrugs and removes his cowl]
Wonder Woman: [ruffles his hair] Red hair. It suits you.
Flash: You think? [gets hit in the head by a shirt]
Batman: [stalks past, looking disgruntled] Change. Now.

The sad thing is ...

They didn't "kill" Wally West ... they deleted him.

**** real.

Dan Dildo (yes I know) can suck a dick as far as I care.

Post Crisis, Wally as the Flash was one of if not the best comics on the market period. The only thing that came close was Mike Grell on Green Arrow and even that lost something along the way.

The name, the title, the costume ... they are Wally's more than they have EVER been anyone else's. It has little to do with how long his tenure as the Flash has been as much as it is ... Wally was made to earn it. And when he finally did arrive, it wasn't in Barry's f'in shadow.

I was thinking of that exact scene when I read this thread.

Wiki had this:

Quote:
Following the events of Flashpoint, the timeline for the DC Universe has been rewritten. Barry Allen has never been married to Iris West, and it would appear that Wally West's time as Kid Flash/The Flash no longer occurred. When asked about Wally's whereabouts, DC creators have had no comment, and Dan DiDio has stated that the Wally is currently benched. Current Flash writers Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato, however, have said they have a proposal for Wally on Didio's desk.

Yeah, but Dan is an idiot and doesn't like Wally.
