Post subject:  Up (2009)

Just finished watching it on Blu-ray. As good as the first time, if not better. I think I laughed even more this time around. The Blu-ray came with four discs, including one that's a digital copy and one that's a standard DVD. We've let my parents borrow the DVD, as I think they'll love it too.

Nah, I'm pretty sure we get a free pass with Pixar films. Those guys are story/heartstring ninjas.

The little boy introduced in the beginning of the movie grew up, married his childhood sweetheart, and lived to a ripe old age of very old with her by about fifteen minutes into the movie. It was hardly heartbreaking when you really think about it.

It's not a sad movie. It is still emotional, and like any good life, still has its heartbreaking moments. I have a hard time watching it without misting up.

But I wipe my eyes at the introduction to Lion King, so...
