Not going to happen. He's making a guest appearance in the 50th anniversary special, but he's not returning as the Doctor full-time. I've read several articles tipping Chiwetel Ejiofor (the Operative from Serenity) as the next Doctor. That sounds plausible, and I think he'd be interesting. My personal pick would be Eddie Izzard. |

The Night of the Doctor made me wish Paul McGann was the 'War Doctor' in the anniversary special. Doctors 8, 10 and 11. |

McGann is brilliant (one of my favorites). Shame that his one big role didn't get good ratings (and had the giant misfire that was the Eric Roberts Master). |
