Yes.

Yay for the Mandarin. Still not in love with the super-golden suit, or the Iron Patriot paint scheme on what is, I assume, War Machine?

I like the Iron Patriot look, not so much the gold Iron Man suit.

well Casting has Guy Pierce as Aldrich Killian and Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen.
I'm fuzzy on the plot but doesnt part of the Extremis treatment allow him remote control of the suit--which would make sense if the suit is hanging over him while he's sleeping.

As Marvel's comics have now completely and totally turned me off (why hello thar, DC), I was prepared to be underwhelmed by this as well. I was not.

Holy hell, that looks amazing.

Seems out of Character with the other of the films and the Avengers. I don't get the whole EMO Tony.

Still hate the red and light gold armor, though.

Wait what?

You were turned off by The Avengers? Iron Man 1 and 2? Thor? Captain Amer... Ok yeah, that wasn't the best.

No, the movies have been good (aside from Iron Man 2, which stunk). Marvel Comics have lost their gorram minds.

Supposedly the footage they showed at Comicon had a lot more humor in it.

What have they done recently that is worse then their normal fare? I gave up on the Ultimate's setting a while back, and have not payed too much attention to the 616 universe since Fear itself arc?

More than a few times in the past, Müs, Tony's slaved remote control of old suits to his current one. As he's upgraded his systems, the sophistication and granular level of control he was able to exert while doing so has escalated, generally.

I think he did it once in the last few years (during his Extremis phase) where he used half a dozen or so independently at different sites around the globe, but that's pretty hard-core extreme and was only possible because of the very core level of integration with his systems and nervous system Extremis facilitated.

I love the Extremis arc, and what it represents thematically for Tony's ever-evolving reinvention and augmentation of his himself. It was a great distillation of the very transhumanistic nature of Tony Stark's quest for innovation in the Marvel Universe.

But I'm glad World's Most Wanted came along and took it away from him. Extremis got to be way too much power-creep as the writers ran with it.

Since I live functionally in Hollywood (for you folks not from CA) ... I have a friend who worked as a cameraman on this. Spoilered, just in case.
Spoiler:
Apparently there's a scene that's supposed to take place in winter. But, of course, they filmed it in the summer in North Carolina. He said it was a miserable shoot - mud everywhere from the snow machines, humid, hot, buggy. Kind of kills the glamor of Hollywood. :D

That being said, this trailer doesn't turn my crank so much, not sure why.

They also apparently retrofitted a city in...North Carolina, I think? as Chattanooga and shot there for a while...living in Chattanooga, I'm curious to see what part of the film takes place here (there?).
