Because Comedy Central clearly has better things to show with that time.

I think the only way this could be even more WTF-ish is if it were Syfy.

I'll be honest, I haven't been watching it.

Part of the problem is that they are cycling like a cable channel. By that I mean "seasons" are now 8-12 episodes that are aired sporadically.

Sweet christ no.

Maybe we can convince netflix to pick it up like arrested development.

Somehow we’ll see Bender shout “Bite My Shiny, Revived Metal ***!” down the road, right? “Perhaps Futurama will return in another form, on the Internet, or as a puppet show in the park,” says Groening. “Or maybe as a puppet show in the park on the Internet.”

Yeah, I'd still watch that.

Groening needs to realize his cows have been milked dry.

Goodbye, 'Futurama'. Despite the unevenness of your Comedy Central years, you went out on a high note, and you will be greatly missed. #sniff

I'll be honest and say that I didn't really enjoy the series after Comedy Central picked it up. But I watched the last episode and felt it ended very well.

^ This. I loved the OVAs they did in between Fox and CC and was really hoping they'd carry that magic into their seasons but the writers never managed to get a hold of the threads again.

I blasted through the 2013 season on Netflix. I may need to apologize. The scooby doo parody was perhaps his best work ever, totally nailed the genre. The final episode, coupled with Zoidberg's happy ending makes a decent finale. Who'd a thunk that he could end a series with a little dignity and magic.

I think it when things end, instead of going on longer than needed.

Quite so. Sadly in television, the prevailing school is not "Always leave them wanting more" its "how much money can we bilk out of this idea."

They seem to be coming around. Quite a few shows are starting to end their run before they've turned the horse into a pulpy river. Let's hope it continues.
