So the Trakanon server opens tomorrow.

I will be rolling a ranger there by the name of Jemi, and creating the Ranger's Glade guild.

Anyone that wants in, either post, send me an ingame e-mail, PM, or tell.

Hope some of you are interested- rolling with an actual full group of rangers is an absolute blast.

Are non ranger rangers welcome?

Of course :-D

Honestly (and thankfully) the game is set up now that a group of almost any classes can make it pretty much to endgame. Which is awesome.

I'll log in and roll up a Ranger named Midgen... but can also make .... something else, if needed to fill out groups.

Perhaps a Pally or Warrior?

I haven't done any research on that new server, but if it is essentially the same current coding, keep in mind that you can purchase mercenaries now to help offset missing classes in groups.

You can buy a Cleric, a Warrior, a Rogue or a Wizard. It costs plat every 15 minutes that they are active (have a passive mode where they are up, but won't do anything, and if they are passive the full 15 minutes, don't charge you).

Yeah, they will be available. That said, I'd prefer an actual group- but we really don't need to worry about "proper" class distribution.

And even before mercs, I've done 6 ranger groups in current content dungeons up through DoN, at least.... Heals are up to par, swap out tanking, earthcaller for slow.

I'm dl'ing eq trilogy. I'll be patching for a couple of days. I'm kinda leaning toward chanter. I really don't know If I have the play time to keep up with this, but I'll certainly give it a shot.

I'll be rolling up a character as well, but I haven't decided what yet. Leaning toward a pally at the moment.

So server's weren't up by the time I left for work this morning, but I'll roll my char and start the guild this evening when I get home.

Character and guild are up and running.

Guild is "Rangers Glade", character is Jemi. Direct mail to either Trakanon.Jemi or Firiona.Jemi to let me know character names.

Or post them here.

I was trying to resist but.. I may just have to get involved.

By the way, does anyone know if ther's a way to move an entire account from one station name to another? I screwed up when I first started EQ2 and made a different station name from EQ1 so I can't get them all on one subscription fee.

Hmm, not sure about that DE... They might make it possible.

But if you're just playing EQ1 and EQ2, might as well sub separately. It's not any cheaper to do the combined sub.

How can it not be any cheaper? It's all on the station pass, right?

Technically, I'm still subscribing to Vanguard on the same station name as EQ2 anyhow although I really only log in once every few months anymore.

Going to make a Dark Elf SK BTW; just can't bring myself to make a Ranger with Diamondeye still available on another server. Thinking about making a Shaman, or some sort of INT caster as well - maybe an Enchanter for when one's needed.

Tobiathar the enchanter is ready to go. I will be on some tonight.

That's why I said if you're just doing EQ1 and EQ2.

If you're doing Vanguard as well, it's cheaper.

Otherwise, EQ1 and EQ2 are 14.99 each, Station Access is 29.99, making it actually 0.01 more expensive to subscribe via station access than each of the two games individually.

I made a Midgen (Ranger) and a Razael (Warrior). They are still level 1.

I'll try to log at least one of them in tonight and get them through the tutorial. Maybe try to scrape up some platz down in the jail.

I also made a Shammy and a Druid as possible 2box partners for the other two.

Got my SK made, Zyerne. Up to level 3, too. I'll try and get in touch with someone later today.

I should be home tonight, and either logged onto Jemi (Firiona) or Jemi (Trakanon).

I got Jemi on Trak up to level 5, made 5p, and then immediately spent it working on leveling tailoring :-P

Remember that before level 10, mercenaries are free! So visit the Plane of Knowledge to pick one up today!

Got on last night, was fun to be back. It might be a day or three before I get any serious play time in again.

Armor drops in tutorial seem to be pretty good. Especially on the higher level mobs back in the jail.

My warrior (Razael) has some kind of plate in every slot now. Weapons seemed to come slower (might have just been bad luck though). I had my newbie sword until the last few big fights, when all of sudden it started raining weapons of various types. He now has a 2hs axe, a 1hs and a dagger to skill up on.

Edit:

I should have some play time this weekend if anyone wants to group, send me a tell. I have Razael at level 11, who has finished the tutorial. Other alts I may be on include Goji (Druid), Acai (Shaman), or Midgen (Ranger). Most likely it will be the druid or shammy.

If I'm not on Trakanon on one of the alts, I may be on firona.delee, or firiona.acai.
