Very cool. I've been interested in this game since I heard about it.

I posted that a week ago in the E3 thread.

Plus we have a TOR thread already. It is pretty sweet cinematic, though.

Kinda cheesy, but cool I guess.

WoW cinematics are awesome, too. Unfortunately the gameplay never lives up.

No game has ever lived up to the cinematics in the history of anything.

Wing Commander's gameplay was better than the cinematics. And the cinematics were good.

Apparently an anonymous fired developer at Bioware had terrible things to say about this game and its development. I don't know what that's worth, though, considering everything.

There's talk about EA publishing it as an Origin Store exclusive.

To which I say, "**** you, EA."

What's an origin store exclusive?

Origin is EA's version of Steam.

Also, EA has already said there will be box copies of the game and you won't even have to have Origin installed on your PC to play the game.

Space cowboy doesn't remotely remind me of Han Solo.

I'm expecting another MMO. In space which is good, SW universe which is good also, but another MMO. Hopefully the PvP is fun.

Love the cinematic.

I'm not really expecting an MMO. I'm expecting a single player/co-op game with MMO chat channels and a subscription fee. That doesn't really thrill me.

I'm a bit on the fence about it. For one, the scenario you describe far lessens my chances of running into a Stormtrooper saying "LOL!" and a wookiee saying "n00b!" But for two, I don't want a single player game. It's what ultimately turned me off of Champions Online.

I really do want a single player game. I'd rather have had KotOR3 than this.

I wouldn't go that far, Talya. I'd rather have this, as a $60 co-op game that the client self-serves.

I'd rather see a more nwn version of Kotor: single player campaign, multiplayer and level design support.

This is going to be like getting KotOR 3...and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Each class has a completely unique storyline that you can level from 1 to 50 on(without doing a single other quest). None of the class quests overlap. They have around 70 novels worth of text in this game, fully voiced(though I'm sure a good portion of it will be nonsense alien speak like KotOR 1 and 2).

Which is exactly why it shouldn't be an MMO with a subscription.

I've heard this from a couple of people. If there's going to be traditional MMO crap, I hope its minimal.

However, I think that during launch, there's going to be 85% jedi, 10% bounty hunter/Fett knockoffs, and 5% everything else. And all the names are going to be stupid.

So why is this an MMO?
