Discuss the creation and structure of the ORE guild here.

I don't think we had a WoW guild, but I think we had a EQ2 guild. If we're going to have a Glade TOR guild, do you think it might be better to make a separate ore.gladerebooted.org site with its own forum? If the guild does become a permanent fixture on whatever server, I can see the possibility of people wanting to browse our guild site, or recruitment/application purposes or whatever. I welcome new lifeblood to the Glade, but I wonder if a separate standalone guild site might be better.

I suppose the decision can be held off until the guild has had a chance to establish its footing and start to mature.

Atenegos was a Vanguard guild.

It's certainly a possibility. I think that having a separate child domain might be less confusing for new recruits.

Speaking of recruiting. I'm admittedly terrible at it, so whoever wants to step up is welcome to. I don't think having a huge guild is a priority, but I certainly look forward to finding some decent non-Gladers in-game (or friends of Gladers) to fill out a couple groups' worth of players on both coasts.

Well, I can look into it this weekend.

It's not crucial or time sensitive, I don't think.

Also, just setting it up as an alias for the SW:TOR subforum would probably be plenty.

You should probably have your website at ore.gladerebooted.org (or if if you feel like spending money, it's own domain) with a link to these forums. At least that's what I would do.

I had some free time this afternoon, so I set up a guild forum. You can access it via http://ore.gladerebooted.org. There's also a portal set up, but I dunno if I like that yet. Feel free to register on this new forum and request guild area access (which is quite empty).

I'm not entirely sure why we need our own private forums when our guild page on SWTOR.com has private and public forums for our guild already.

The guild forums on swtor.com will go away once the game is released.

Just sent a PM to the guy who applied late last week. It wasn't a username I recognized from here (Bartholomewlap? Anybody?), and nobody gave me a heads up they'd be applying. He didn't fill out any of the questions on the application, so I just sent him a PM asking a few "get to know you" sort of things.

If he replies, I'll copy the responses here and we'll see what we think.

On the SW:TOR Guild Pre-launch site's public forums. Moo made a thread there along the lines of "I like Cheesepie."
