There's a rapidly growing thread on the official boards about how this game needs an appearance tab, of all things. |

I admit, it was a cool feature in LOTRO. |

How my toon looks, does, for me, affect in a small way my desire to play that toon. Different strokes and all. |

But having an appearance tab makes fully moddable gear pointless, and vice versa. Given the amount of work put into the mod system, switching implementations seems silly. It's a case of people wanting to look exactly how they want from day 1 (i.e., the instant they get the green piece of gear off the trash mob), while Bioware wants to use attaining that cool look permanently (via finding/acquiring the proper orange gear) a goal for you to work towards. |

I agree. The ability to have many items fully modable (and therefore scalable) is nice. And having the ability to extract socketed mods is also nice (though it's a very hefty cost depending on the quality and level of the mod). |

If we could find mod able recipes that look good. I have crafting skill and gathering skills in excess of 130 and have yet to see any form of orange recipe. |

I just want to find something good, without that damn hood. I have forgotten what my hair looks like. |

Raid gear has the armoring mod(better than anything else in the game, craftable or not) locked in. Plus, raid gear has set bonuses. Also, raid gear looks like dog ****. Also, I think PvP gear isn't modable, but I don't give a crap about PvP. But some people might and I'm pretty sure there are no mods with the pvp stat. |

My Guardian is wearing a trooper chest piece because all of the str/end armor is a bloody brown robe with a bloody hood. |

Guardian is jedi, Vanguard / Commando are the Aim guys. I'd be interested in getting a suit of modable jedi heavy armour for Strahan, to act as his desert gear. |

I'd settle for being able to turn off my companion's helmet. |

Since I got that hat on her head, she now stands straight up. In fact, she looks like she is...presenting her self. Thrusting forward on full. |
