So...apparently, that bastid beat us down pretty good last night. Did some searching. It's not the defensive screen that eats melee'ers for lunch. All that does is give him immunity to damage, and is interruptable...ideally by ranged since there's a much harder to notice Proximity Probe that he casts right after that is one-shotting anyone in melee with him. Also he's only casting the pair of those every other wave of adds.
Didn't see anything about the adds being taunt/aggro resistant, but everything i've seen does say they do head for the healer. Bossman also likes to randomly target someone regardless of aggro to pop shots at

I figure we beef up some on some of the other hardmodes, we can vape the bastich.

I've read his defensive screen wipes agro. Making it difficult for the tank to get agro back because he gains 100% chance for defense, 100% tech resistance and 100% force resistance with the shield meaning if the tank doesn't have any accuracy, it will be impossible to hit him with anything(I noticed resist, resist, resist last night). Even if the tank does have some accuracy, it's going to be like, 1-5% at most giving taunt a 1-5% chance of landing.

Yeah, I read up a bit on this last night, too. Proximity Probe, aggro reset - didn't pick up the part about the defense/tech resist/force resist though. I'm up for a re-match but need time to lick my wounds.

I've been taking one for the team these past few days giving other hard mode flashpoints a try. After several attempts, I've finally gotten through Esseles on hard mode. Aside from the first two bosses, it was pretty cake. But, again...I said the same thing about Battle of Ilum and look where we ended up there. Still need Directive 7(jesus christ), Maelstrom Prison and False Emperor.

At the very least, I'll be able to walk us through the bosses so we at least know wtf is going to happen. One thing I've noticed is that if a fight has adds, it is much more difficult than a fight that doesn't have adds. Or if the boss has multiple bosses(last boss in Kaon Under Siege, for example or the first and second bosses in Taral V) it happens to be pretty easy for whatever reason. As long as the multiple mobs are there at the start. It's when we get extras part way through that tend to **** things over(boss we got stuck on in Battle of Ilum, for example. Even the last boss in Taral V can be some what of a pain)
