Lots of stuff here. I'm not sure I'm thrilled about giving smugglers force choke, but I am definitely excited about the UI customizations. I haven't been following the Guild Summit, but I think there should be some more details coming out soon. |

Some details on 1.2 from IGN http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1219843p1.html Edit: Here is an excerpt: ign.com wrote: If you've been playing the game since launch in late 2011, those Legacy levels will finally be good for something after 1.2. Specifically, they'll let you set up a family tree, where you can arrange your characters and earn bonuses. Getting to level 50 will unlock that character's race for all classes you create thereafter, bypassing the regular class and race restrictions. "If you were to play a character to level 50 with all the races, you could create any class of any race," said Ohlen. "We know that not many people are going to do that because it's kind of crazy, so we also gave the option for players to purchase some of the unlocks." Ohlen said the race purchases will be made only with in-game currency.
Other Legacy unlocks will not be available until you've leveled a class to 50, however. Such is the case with unlocking new skills. Do you wish your Bounty Hunter could shoot Force lightning? After 1.2, if you relate the Bounty Hunter to a level 50 Inquisitor, it'll be possible, though with some significant limitations. A Bounty Hunter won't suddenly turn into a Force-wielding super user. Every class has a heroic moment ability which requires the presence of a companion to activate. Only by using these heroic moment abilities will you be able to access the cross-class Legacy abilities. That essentially means you can only use the abilities out in the questing world; they're locked out when you're in a full group or in a PvP Warzone. "It's a balancing mechanism. We wanted to make the abilities powerful and useful but we know that some players are going to eventually have all seven others on one character. We had to be cognizant of that when we were creating them so we don't give the player seven super-powerful abilities he can use in rapid succession." In the future, it may be possible for players to fuse their Legacy systems and marry others, but that's far from final. At least for 1.2, only your characters can be slotted in the Legacy family trees. |

*sigh... they plan to make all of the Legacy rewards purchasable (for in game credits). Kinda defeats the purpose of having it based on in game play experience.... |

Legacy system sounds absolutely terrible. Glad it's basically optional. I never liked the idea, anyway. |

It's not optional in the sense that the other players you encounter in the game may have these legacy benefits. It was supposed to be rewards for play time. Which in a sense I'm ok with as long as they don't otherwise break the game. But when someone can buy a truckload of credits online and buy all of the same legacy rewards that others worked for through game play, then I start having issues with it.... |

The legacy powers and stuff are only usable with your companion and only usable during the Epic Music move with a 20 minute cooldown. So, they won't have much impact on important things like flashpoints and operations. Or PvP if you are into that. |

I think I heard them say on the live feed that they wouldn't be usable in Warzones or Operations at all... |

Right. Like I said, they won't have much impact on the important parts of the game, so they are ultimately useless. |

Midgen wrote: I think I heard them say on the live feed that they wouldn't be usable in Warzones or Operations at all... Right. It's tied to your "have to have a companion available" type ability. And comps aren't allowed in those. But they did say that the idea of Flashpoints being done with fewer people is part of the idea. And that I'm totally fine with. All in all I am happy with the Legacy stuff they showed. The only thing I did not like: "No additional character slots, nor is it on the drawing board (but your desire is noted)." |

Woohoo! Customizable UI will be saved in XML, and thusly exportable! =) Target of Target and party Target of Target are included (among many other things) sadly, still no macro language at all... |

I haven't seen an exact date, but I saw a forum post that indicated 'April'... |

I missed this earlier, but it was mentioned that 'Sprint' is moving to level 1 for all characters (not a "Legacy" unlock). |

They also announced the an 'invite a friend' campaign, for anyone interested in try-before-you-buy. You can play for 7 consecutive days, and play through any or all of the content on the four starter planets in that time. |

Welp, I got my purple crystals today. I think I am gonna see if I can pile up enough credits before they yank that vendor to get a white crystal. |

Where is that Vendor located? And did anyone find a cheaper level 50 speeder? I already picked up the level 3 speeder training, so can see the new price - if it indeed changed - on the trainer. |

I don't think those changes are going in until the patch in April (if I understand it correctly). |

You're... dreaming.... of a white... crystal. Just like the ones some others have. Ranleigh: The vendor is on the fleet in the galactic trade market area. Around the other vendors. |
