There is a world wide Rakghoul Plague going on this week. Not sure the exact dates (I never saw an announcement).

It's apparently a blatant ripoff of some kind of Troll Zombie world event in WoW (according to some forum posts).

Which is a rip-off of the plague I thought of when I was on the Horizons dev team in 2003, where the dragons were immune (you could play as a dragon).

It is the greatest form of flattery, right? Right? *bonk*

You were on Horizons? My friend and I were following the development of that game extremely closely back in the early 2000s. Had a lot of really cool ideas. It's too bad it ended up the way it did.

Man...Horizons. I remember being so excited for that game. I never ended up playing it, though. Didn't have a computer that could run it and by the time I did, it was pretty much done.

On December 6th, 2003 the game went live. January 12th, 2004 50% of company was let go. In my exit 'meeting' I was handed a copy of the game and told, 'well at least you have a free lifetime membership to the game'.

Never played it again. Don't think I missed much.
