I've been playing a Bounty Hunter on Shien server. Up to level 29 now, just started Alderaan. Best single player story yet (I got bored with Imperial Agent, for the record.) I love the Bounty Hunter. However, I've run into a problem. Withouth spoiling the story for anyone, I've been railroaded into accepting my third companion, Gault Rennow. And I mean railroaded...there's no reason my bounty hunter would have done anything but shoot the bastard in the head. And I never got a choice to do that. However, it wouldn't have mattered. While my bounty hunter would have shot the guy in the head, me, the player, couldn't have. I never could have, because I recognized his voice the first time I talked to the little jerk on Tattooine. He's the friendly public defender, Cliff McCormack (voiced by Darran Norris), from Veronica Mars. How can I hate Cliff? I see his friendly inept face every time Gault speaks. |

Someone from Bioware eluded to the fact that one of the 'features' they were most surprised to see requested is the ability for players to 'kill' their own companions. They even played around with it internally, but decided it would be impossible to manage all of the story arcs if people were to randomly kill their companions. They also toyed with the idea of allowing players to have their companions frozen in carbonite, which is exactly where C2-N2 would be (absent a 'mute' or 'silence' option in his programming). Apparently 1.2 will tone down his dialog a bit, which is a relief. I regularly group with a Jedi Knight who as a former hard core Star Wars pen and paper role player, and loyal Jedi, was mortified at the prospect of taking Lord Scourge as a Companion. I've heard a lot of 'familiar' voices, but I'm terrible with placing them with names. However, I was toying around with a Bounty Hunter last night and ran into a voice that I would swear was Craig Ferguson (late night comedy guy). I don't remember the characters name, but it was only a brief dialog with a holo character who was begging me to not steal his lifes work from the computer terminal I was slicing. I didn't bother looking up the voice actors name. |

Craig Ferguson does a LOT of voice work. However, SWTOR is not in his list. |

There is a guy on Tarsis that has the same voice as Oghren from DA. Yea, I don't much care for Lord Scourge. Everything I did at the end pissed him off. He hated me yet the bastard is still on my ship. |
