Not sure if any know or care, but the modding community is basically redoing Morrowind on the Skyrim engine. They seem to be making good progress. Here's a video of what they have so far.



I'm intrigued, but I've started Morrowind twice and not completed it. Going to try to finish it over the summer, but sometimes it really feels like work - even with mods.

Yeah I saw this. It interests me greatly, as I do want to play Morrowind and it's story but I don't want to play the original game with it's dated models and poor controls.

Yeah. I loved Morrowind back in the day. Would play again on Skyrim engine, but it was just too much *** pain to replay after playing Oblivion, much less Skyrim. The die roll hit mechanics and slow move speed are just ARRRRGH!

If they used Skyrim most of the magic wouldn't work. Partial cloaking, stacking magical effects with your cloak, the acrobatics skill that let you leap from mountain top to mountain top... it wouldn't be Morrowind as I knew it.

If you have Skyrim Script Extender there are mods you can download that add in a lot of the old magical effects.
