The contacts list was pretty easy. Just look up the username on the roster thread here, and remember that only accounts that have been copied to the PTU will show up. I've got Elmo, Grouse, you, and I think Rori added at the moment, so those are the 4 I know have PTU access.

In a pre-check this morning with the new update my framerate looks to be running at around 18. That's with the graphics program supposedly setting both squadron 42 and the RSI patcher to use the graphics card. I was hoping the 880M would perform better than that. No wonder I couldn't hit a ship at all!

You can close the patcher after you launch the program itself.

I wasn't sure whether the patcher called the Star Citizen program or whether the patcher fed into the game with respect to the graphics card being configured to be used instead of the onboard graphics card. I'm still disappointed in 18 FPS.

It might be worth running your performance monitor -- my framerate hovers around 25 most of the time, and my CPU gets more exercise than my GPU to get there. A lot of it seems to be related to the netcode as the bottleneck, reportedly. That's why people who modify (against the EULA, it should be noted, so risking their accounts in the process) their client to disconnect from the server and just run locally get drastically better framerate performance.

I've got TS setup for my guild on P99.

I have today off so it's a massive cleaning / decorating day. I invited Foamy over to hopefully watch some SC to get him more into it since he still needs to build a rig but we talked at our mutual friend's sons bday party on Sunday and he has the 3.0 bug. I'll try to log in sometime during the day to prep.

BTW are your handles the same as usernames here so I can cross add you guys or should I just look at the VR roster?

I'd look at the VR roster. I've got two accounts, neither of which use Kaffis as a handle. Which reminds me, I should PTU copy my other account for ship availability.

I have picked up a cheapie starter package mustang for my son's xmas gift but haven't got him set up on a separate account yet. I do also have a second package with a ghost from waaaay back but again, didn't create a separate account for it. I'll have to work out how to do that soon.

You get a seperate PTU password in an email when you copy your account over to the PTU. It is a different password from your account sign in.

Yep, what Rane said. They should email you the initial password for the PTU side. Then you can change it to something you can remember.

I loaded star marine once and crusader once
Star marine crashe din ten seconds and crusader did as well, the whole time i had a really odd resolution and my camera position that i couldnt change was like at my chest.

Yeah, IIRC Star Marine and Arena Commander are currently bugged and won't maintain sessions.

Maybe check your FOV setting on the Crusader thing?

I was only able to load into Crusader once out of maybe 30 attempts. I kept getting a windows out of memory error but I was barely pushing 50% RAM.

For what it's worth, I'm seeing about 14GB of RAM committed to Star Citizen.exe out of my 32. Not sure whether running lower textures and the like would reduce that. Lemme try.

I got 16 in this machine. Didn't see a reason to go to 32 I guess until now. That's just a trip to microcenter tomorrow then.
