Hey I don't remember my dollars being put towards this kind of development when I kickstarted blah blah blah fanboy rage!

Seriously though, this game is totally fun.

Welp, today's Q&A pushed me off the fence. I upgraded my Herald to a Vanguard Sentinel as my EW platform.

I wasn't sure I wanted the Sentinel before when they were talking about jamming and throwing sensor decoys around and such. But then today they confirmed that it's got an upgraded sensor suite of its own, too, and I'll take that over information couriering.

Considering I had originally, when I got my Super Hornet, told myself that maybe I should (in-universe) pick up one of the Tracker sensor domes, too, so I could have (or, more likely, be myself) a RIO fully dedicated to sensor management and squadron coordination... sounds like the Sentinel will slide right into that without going to the trouble of picking up that Hornet dome.

At least I managed to hold myself to not expanding my hangar with NEW ships. I'm just upgrading/replacing at this point.

Has the Hornet Tracker been marginalized now?

Marginalized is a strong word for anything at this development. Anything that isn't balls to the walls dogfighting is hindered but that's only because the system's that make it shine haven't been developed yet.

No, I don't think so. It's probably still more sensitive than the Sentinel, and probably preferable if you don't have manpower to spare in a small group.
