It's really weird that the Harmonix bands couldn't just be exported since it's their bands and all. Actually after the issue with getting licenses from the 1st game to export I don't get why they didn't get the export licences at the beginning say for the reasoning of faster access time having it in the HDD over the disk and not have all these issues with after the fact exporting.

Heh, my PS3 got cramped last year from downloading Glee episodes (40GB model) so I already spent the $90ish (at the time) to buy a 500GB drive from newegg and upgraded it, plenty of room now ;)

Yeah, my theory is that they're re-releasing them upgraded for pro-keys/pro-guitar as well.

I may have to do that, buy an upgraded drive for my xbox and upgrade. Wonder if it will support 1TB?

Ahh, I didn't think of that.

xbox, no, the xbox only can use the hdd upgrade kits unlike the the ps3 that takes any standard size 2.5" SATA drive, though i'm not sure if there are any 1TB 2.5" drives that are the standard drive thickness, I think the biggest standard thickness one is 750GB.

I had thought at some point we had a thread here with details on how to upgrade your xbox hard drive. Definitely not official, and I'm sure it voids the warranty, but possible. :)

I'm pretty sure one of the recent xbox updates allows you to use a USB drive for storage now. Of course it's limited to 16 GB, but it will work in a pinch.

Is that site still offering 250 GB drives for $56, I wonder? If so, I may have to pick one up soon. My 20 GB is getting pretty cramped.

Looked up the link, looks like it's still valid, 64 bucks shipped.

When you guys are talking about harmonix bands... are you talking about the songs they did for the first two guitar hero games that were cover songs?

Personally, there are a few of their covers that I actually prefer than the originals. The Exies' "Hey You" in particular. I much prefer their cover, oddly enough.

Harmonix band = band in which a Harmonix employee is a member. For example, HMXHellion on the RB forums is the lead singer of the band Vagiant. Which is apparently now named Tijuana Sweetheart.

And because we love Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmonix#Employee_bands

edit: If you're interested in the cover band who did the song covers for the early GH/RB series, that would be WaveGroup.

I got my fake plastic pro guitar yesterday evening. It's really different, and my fretting arm is really sore from the new experience. It's fun though, but I can tell it's going to take a lot of practice.

Cool, I want to get the pro guitar but at $150 I can't see spending that much for something that's a controller for a single game so i'm holding out for the Fender Squire Stratocaster, sadly they really blew their release timing on that so it's still almost 4 months away till it's released.

Picked this up for Christmas. I really like the keyboard. Not that I know what in the hell I am doing. I just keep pushing, practice, practice... Easy was too easy, Medium is about my speed with it right now. Just spent the last hour playing Imagine.

After which I did I love Rock n Roll and wanted to toss the damn keyboard out my window. I like how they have started to sneek in orange notes on Medium with the old guitar.

Love the game, still suck at it.
